Day 2 or NYC Aug. 21, 2010

Today is Saturday and it was a beautiful day outside in the 80's. We started at the Was Museum. That was the first time I have ever been to a wax museum. We took lots of pictures with lots of famous people. I won't put them all on here but here are a few of our favorites. We then from there went to the King Tut Exhibit. That was very interesting. I learned a lot about the Egyptian culture. We saw the actual remains of King Tut. He became a ruler at a very young age but also died a very young age of 19. Then we headed to 5th Ave. and saw a whole block filled with street vender's and food vender's. That is were I got my cool green NY shirt, Bryan got his picture with Cookie Monster and we ate Bryan's favorite (mine too) street food. They were called Arepas. That is what they eat in Venezuela but they were kind of a mix between and arepa and a cachapa. They had melted mozzarella cheese inside and they were so good. We walked down to Central Park and then FAO Schwarz Toy Store. I played on the Big Piano (from the movie BIG) and we watched some performers play some cool songs on it. We then walked down 5th Ave. where there are tons of over priced fancy clothing stores. We also saw Trump Towers (where Donald Trump lives) We then went down to the south seaport and got some yummy Thai food at Cafe Sage. Then to the Bodies Exhibit. That was also very interesting. I learned a lot more about how amazing our bodies really are. It made me want to stay healthy and strong. We then got some yummy ice cream cones and when on our 9:45 -sailboat ride to the Statue of Liberty and back . We tried to take some cool pictures but it was hard because we were on a moving boat but we got a few ok pictures. It was a fun day!! We slept good that night.King Tut Exhibit

Street shopping and eating.

Bryan and Cookie Monster. Notice the Christmas stocking?

After I took this picture the he asked for money.

People really would do anything for money here in NY

Central Park -Beautiful

Welcome to FAO Schwarz Toy Store

the Biggest Toy Store I have ever been to

Stuffed animals bigger than your body!

Bottles of Hershey Syrup bigger than your head.

Toy Solder made only out of jelly beans

Circle Puzzle of the world!! wow!!

The one main reason to come to this store was to play on the BIG Piano!!!

I was the only adult playing on the piano!!

Here is a little video on me playing. It's hard to hear the song I'm playing (Mary had a little lamb) because the little kids would just run up and down it the whole time.

This is a video of the performers playing a song together.

Sorry I filmed it at the wrong angle but it is still good to watch.

They are pretty impressive.
